Deliveries & Returns

Common delivery questions:
When will my items be delivered?
The majority of items are delivered on a next working day service, depending on the time the order is placed. Some bigger items can take between 2-5 working days, and fabricated items such as stainless steel tables can take a few weeks as they are made to order. It is also worth noting that not all delivery companies will call or book in delivery. These vary between the suppliers of the products, although many of them will attempt some sort of contact before delivery, it's not guaranteed. Delivery times can also be between the hours of 8am and 6pm, so it is important that someone is there to sign for deliveries and to check for any potential damage. We would always advise to contact us if you have any concerns regarding deliveries, and we will always do our best to get an accurate delivery time for you if requested.
Will the item fit through the door?
You should consider the route all the way from the pavement to where the machine will be sited. Always check the dimensions of the item, and measure up before ordering. If an item doesn't fit through the door and you didn't check beforehand, suppliers will normally charge up to 25% for a failed delivery.
Will the delivery driver help?
Generally items are delivered by National couriers who will help you into the premises with the equipment, but are not obliged to, and in some cases are not insured to enter the premises further.
Is extra help available with the delivery?
If you know in advance that moving the item within your premises may be difficult then please contact us as often a positioning service is available.
What if there are steps?
You should advise us at the time of purchase of any obstacles likely to cause delivery difficulties.
On Receipt:
As an absolute minimum, you should check the package for any signs of damage in transit whilst the driver is still there. If the packaging appears damaged, ask the driver to wait whilst you check the contents. If they will not wait, sign the delivery note to that effect or refuse the delivery as damaged.

Occasionally, items are damaged in transit and it is most important that any visible damage is reported immediately, as couriers will often not entertain a claim for damage discovered over a maximum of 48 hours after delivery.

Signing a delivery note as unchecked is OK, but you are still obliged to unpack and check within a maximum of 48 hours, preferably 24 hours.

Sometimes packaging may show signs of likely damage. Taking a photo then un-packaging is good advice.

Is there another problem with the equipment?
Sometimes even new equipment may appear to be faulty – just call us on 01304 827272.
Standard delivery:
Deliveries will normally take around 2 - 3 working days, with some some items on a next working day delivery.
Bank holidays will have an effect on your delivery date, so please take this into consideration when placing an order. We advise to always check with us before ordering to get a more accurate timescale, as all suppliers can be varied with times. Equipment returns:

We will accept any unwanted items for return provided we are informed within 48 hours of delivery, and that they are unused and in any original packaging. Goods should then be returned to us within 7 days. Because of the costs a customer may suffer by choosing to return a product, we are always happy to spend as much time as you need to ensure that you make the correct choices before making your purchase.

Items will be returned at the buyers expense, and following an inspection a refund will be made to your original payment method less any delivery costs. A restock fee of up to 25% may also be required which is normally passed down to us from the suppliers.

Any orders where payment has been made and the order subsequently cancelled prior to dispatch, may lead to costs being incurred if the original payment involved a credit card, as card merchant services generally charge 2-3% to handle the transaction. These costs will be clearly detailed on any credit note we may send to you.
