Metcalfe GU4 14lb Pedestal Potato Peeler

The Metcalfe 14lb (6.3Kg) Pedestal Potato Peeler has a 0.5hp direct drive geared motor unit and are available in single or three phase and low or standard height pedestal.

Designed to enable the user to operate, clean and maintain with the minimum of effort with the motor and gearbox units housed inside the pedestal therefore no external projection. In addition the drive between the output shaft of the unit and the drive shaft of the peeler has a flexible coupling which will prevent damage to the motor or gearbox if the machine is accidentally jammed or overloaded.

The Top casting is removable without tools so that the rotor plate can be lifted out for cleaning and repairs. You can even clean the unit by just turning on the water for a "Flush Clean".

The Rotor plate is bonded with abrasive grit. The Inside wall of peeling chamber has patented cast-in abrasive serrations which dispenses with the need for abrasive coating.

All peelers supplied with a wall mounted starter which incorporate the on switch, emergency stop, no-volt release and overload protection features. Machines fitted with a water inlet and hose connection incorporating an air break for water regulations compliance.

Machine can be supplied as three phase on request.
